Winkelsas enters his second season in the Atlantic League and second in independent baseball. The 36 year-old pitcher has spent parts of 2 seasons in the major leagues with the Milwaukee Brewers and Atlanta Braves. Winkelsas has also pitched in the Chicago White Sox organization, most recently in 2008 with AA Birmingham and AAA Charlotte. In 13 minor league seasons, Winkelsas compiled a 26-34 record, 3.65 ERA, 286 strikeouts, 61 saves in 434.1 innings.
