West is in his third season with the Canaries after previously serving as an athletic trainer for the South Dakota State University Jackrabbits baseball team. He also worked in the Kansas City Royals organization after earning his master’s degree at SDSU. His undergraduate degree is from Southwest Minnesota State University, where he was an honorable mention All-American outfielder for the Mustangs. West is supplied to the Canaries by Orthopedic Institute.
