Carlos Lezcano is the El Paso Diablos Field Manager from Arecibo, Puerto Rico who attended Florida State University. Before joining the El Paso Diablos as a hitting coach, Lezcano played for the Chicago Cubs from 1978 to 1981 as an outfielder. Lezcano is the cousin of Gold Glove winning right fielder Sixto Lezcano who played in the MLB for 12 years from 1974 to 1985. After retiring as a player Lezcano has gone on to manage and coach in the minor leagues, most notably with the Lake Elsinore Storm of Lake Elsinore, California which is an affiliate of the San Diego Padres from 2007 to 2011. Lezcano joined the Diablos last year as a hitting coach, and is now in his second year serving as the El Paso Diablos Manager. |
