Manager Matt Alison returns this summer to helm the Defending Eastern Division Champion Muskrats. Alison was the hitting coach in the Muskrats inaugural season in 2010. Last summer he took over as manager and posted an 18-24 record, taking the team from the final playoff spot to the NECBL Championship. Under Alison’s guidance, the Muskrats notched the franchise’s first playoff victory, the franchise’s first playoff series victory, and their first Eastern Division Championship. In addition to the postseason success, six Muskrats made the NECBL All-Star team, and Chris Costantino was named the NECBL Rick Ligi Player of the Year. Alison is the assistant coach at his alma mater, MidAmerica Nazarene University, in Olathe, Kansas. He enjoys the Lakes Region, and his favorite place to eat is Burrito Me.
