ABOUT KYLE POMEROY:
After playing on both the East and West coasts, Kyle Pomeroy will settle into the Midwest for the summer to play for the CrackerJacks. Pomeroy, a right-handed pitcher and native of La Crescenta, Calif., just concluded his freshman season at Long Island University-Brooklyn, making 15 relief appearances for the Blackbirds.
He concluded his freshman season with a 6.61 ERA, 1-3 record, and struck out 14 batters in 16.1 innings. Pomeroy picked up his first collegiate victory on May 5, 2012 against Quinnipiac and didn’t allow a home run all season. The Blackbirds finished 22-33 overall in 2012.
Pomeroy was a four-year letterwinner at Crescenta Valley High School. As a senior, he was named second team All-Pacific League, going 6-0 with a 1.02 ERA and 44 strikeouts.Pomeroy also played for the San Gabriel Valley Arsenal, becoming another of multiple Arsenal players to go onto to play Division I Baseball.
Pomeroy is the son of John and Marlene Pomeroy and is a Kinesiology major at LIU-Brooklyn. He signed to play for the CrackerJacks on Sept. 13, 2011.
