David Garcia comes to Alexandria from Cal State University Monterey Bay. At Valley Christian High School, Garcia was a four-time West Coast All-League selection, while leading his team to two CIF Central Coast Section Division One championships. As a sophomore at Mission College, Garcia hit .311 with three home runs, 16 RBI and 28 runs scored. The 2012 season was his first at Cal State Monterey Bay, and on April 2nd, he hit a grand slam as part of a 4 for 5 day in a 12 to 4 win over Cal State East Bay. Garcia provides a powerful presence in the middle of the Otters lineup and through 46 games he was batting .326 with four home runs, 13 doubles, and 38 RBI while playing in every game. David is an only child and is majoring in kinesiology.
