Alek is a hometown kid who attended Nashua North High School right here in Nashua, New Hampshire.  His favorite television show growing up was Boy Meets World. Alek is heading into his junior year at Merrimack College as a secondary education and history major.

Entering his second year with the Silver Knights, Alek made 10 appearances for the Championship squad, including six starts. He posted a 3-0 record with a 3.43 ERA striking out 39.

His favorite MLB player is the N.Y. Yankees closer, Mariano Rivera. His favorite song is Language by Porter Robinson. While his most memorable moment playing baseball is his entire high school senior season, his most embarrassing moment was when he tripped on the mound while throwing a pitch. The best baseball field he has ever played on was LeLacheur Park in Lowell, Massachusetts.
