ABOUT: Two-year starter for the Iona Gaels. Started 52 games in 2012, trailing only former Muskrat Chris Burke in runs scored, with 36, and ranking third on the team in doubles (14). College teammate of former Muskrats Burke, Justin Wiley, and James Beck. Joe is an aggressive base runner, a lead off hitter focused on getting on, stealing bags, and scoring runs. He’d like to work on his leads on the base paths this summer. As a freshman in 2011, Joe led the MAAC in stolen bases, winning the first MAAC Rookie of the Week award with a five-hit display.
