Campbell set nine career West Branch High School records, including records in runs, hits, batting average, runs batted in, and home runs. He had a historic senior year there, setting a single season record of 12 home runs along with a .590 average. In his first two years at Kent State, Campbell started in 107 of 109 games, batting .335 with 34 RBI and .302 with 39 RBI in his freshman and sophomore years, respectively. This spring, Campbell is batting .389 with four home runs and 27 runs batted in.
