Scott was acquired via trade from Evansville (Frontier League) where he went 8-4 with a 3.29 ERA in 20 starts for the Otters this season (128.2 IP, 119H, 54BB, 157K). His strikeout total led the league and tied for 3rd in Frontier League history. His season included six games of 10+ strikeouts including five of his final six starts. In the final outing before the trade, he struck out 14 and allowed just 2 hits in 8.0 innings, capping a string over his final three starts during which he went 3-0 with a 0.78 ERA (23.0 IP, 15H, 2R, 3BB, 38K).
Scott originally joined the Revs late last season, making two regular season appearances (one start) while also appearing in one postseason game, closing out the Game Two Championship Series victory in Charleston.
A product of Indiana University, Scott began his pro career with Evansville in 2021, going 8-4 with a 2.72 ERA in 14 starts. That earned him a contract with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2022-23 where he pitched at three levels with most of his time coming at Double-A New Hampshire.
This season marked the Indiana native's fourth with Evansville where he is 25-19 with a 3.45 ERA in his career.
