The left-handed throwing Cariaco joins the Saltdogs after just concluding his college career at Kent State University.

2025:   Appeared in 26 games for the Golden Flashes, going 2-4 with a 4.95 ERA with ten saves.  In 40.0 innings, Cariaco struck out 35 batters and walked 11.  

2024:   Went 5-3 for Kent State with a 3.38 ERA.  In 25 games, Cariaco recorded five saves.  In 40.0 innings, he struck out 29 and walked 13.  

2023:   Cariaco went 1-1 in his sophomore season for the Golden Flashes with a 6.75 ERA.  In 20 appearances he had two starts.  In 25.1 innings, pitched, he struck out twelve and walked nine.  In the summer, Cariaco played for the Arroyo Seco Saints in the California Collegiate League, going 2-1 with a 3.46 ERA.  In eight appearances he had four starts.  In 26.0 innings pitched, Cariaco struck out 32 batters and walked seven.

2022:   In his freshman season at Kent State, Cariaco went 0-3 with an 8.14 ERA.  With 14 appearances, he recorded six starts.  In 42.0 innings, pitched, he struck out 33 and walked 14.  During the summer, Cariaco played for the Macon Bacon in the Coastal Plain League, going 2-2 with a 4.06 ERA.  In nine appearances, he had seven starts, one complete game, one shutout and one save.  In 37.2 innings pitched, Cariaco struck out 32 batters and walked nine.
