Brett Matthews is a 27-year-old, 6’5” right-hander out of Colorado State-Pueblo who’s pitched across both affiliated and independent baseball. He spent 2024 in the Atlantic League with Hagerstown and Gastonia, logging a 3-1 record and 7.09 ERA in 34 relief outings. Originally signed by the Rockies in 2022 after a strong Pioneer League showing, he reached Triple-A that season. In 2023, he went 3-3 with a 4.68 ERA in 25 innings across two Rockies affiliates. Matthews struck out 149 batters over three years at CSU-Pueblo and earned Second Team All-RMAC honors in 2021. He’s from Queen Creek, Arizona.
