Emilio Corona will make his professional debut after finishing his college career at the University of Arizona. He capped off his collegiate career with 56 games and 53 starts as a senior, hitting .262 with 42 runs, seven doubles, seven triples, six home runs, and 30 RBI. Corona led the Wildcats with 15 stolen bases in 2024 and was named Pac-12 All-Conference Honorable Mention. He also earned a spot on the Bobby Bragan National Collegiate Slugger Award watch list and led the team and conference in triples.
Corona played his first season at Arizona in 2023 after transferring from Pima Community College. In that season, he hit .336 with 11 home runs and 44 RBI. He had a standout game on April 30 at Oregon State, hitting three home runs and driving in eight runs, earning the Golden Spikes Performance of the Week award.
In 2022, Corona hit .346 with 13 home runs and 60 RBI at Pima Community College, leading the team in both categories. He was named All-ACCAC and Second Team All-Region. Corona began his college career at the University of Washington, playing 20 games in 2021.
Corona hails from San Luis Obispo, California, where he was a three-sport star in high school, excelling in baseball, football, and basketball.
