Seton Hall’s John Downing was ranked No. 14 in LHPs in New York and 121 overall in the state by Perfect Game. He led his high school team, Chaminade to a NY Class AA title senior year and was the 2022 Newsday Player of the Year with a 5-0 record and 1.33 ERA over 38.2 innings. At Seton Hall, he’s posted a 2.55 ERA in 42.1 innings, going a season-high five scoreless innings against St. John’s on April 6.
