Hailing from Weston, Messervy will spend his summer on the North Shore after helping Harvard finish second in the Ivy League standings during his junior season. The Crimson’s regular center fielder and leadoff hitter posted a .280 average, ranked among Ivy leaders with his 16 doubles, and added 19 RBI and 30 runs scored in 42 games. He hit safely in six of the last seven games as Harvard pushed for the postseason.


 


The 2022 season marked Messervy’s first collegiate action after his freshman year was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He went on to become an All-Futures League performer for the Brockton Rox last summer, posting the league’s sixth-best average (.323) while driving in 20 runs and scoring 31 more in 45 games.
