Gibbs got his first taste of collegiate baseball this past season with the Bulldogs of Mississippi State. Prior to becoming a Bulldog, he lettered three seasons while attending Jackson Prep. Gibbs name is etched in the school’s record books after he set the single-season strikeout record with 122 and his 1.13 career ERA is the lowest in school history. Starting off his collegiate career in impressive fashion, Gibbs struck out all four batters he retired in his debut vs ULM. Gibbs is one of the four Mississippi State players on the Gulls roster this summer.
