Gottam, originally from Texas, travels south from Providence, RI, and Brown University to play for the Gulls this summer. A workhorse for the Bears of Brown, he led the team in innings pitched this past season. His best outing this season came against Cornell on April 8 when he pitched seven scoreless innings, striking out eight, and earning the win. He pitched for the Amsterdam Mohawks of the Perfect Game Collegiate League last summer. The righty made 15 appearances while with Amsterdam and completed the season with a minuscule 0.94 ERA over 28.2 innings pitched.
