Heisner was relied upon heavily during his first season with the Warriors, making 15 appearances and striking out 25 batters in 19.2 innings. He threw four consecutive scoreless outings in March and then had two notable efforts against LIU, earning his first career win with 2.1 shutout frames April 2 before striking out the side twice three weeks later.


 


The lefty follows in the footsteps of 2021 first-round draftee and fellow Lexington native Sal Frelick by joining the Navs and continues a five-summer run of Merrimack players on the roster. Heisner was a 2021 Middlesex League All-Star.
