Kenney pitched in five games during his freshman year as a Mountain Hawk, allowing just three earned runs, three walks and struck out five across 5.1 innings. He recorded a pair of strikeouts during his final two appearances, including the last against Patriot League rival Army West Point.


 


Injuries kept the Hopedale native from playing his final two seasons at Loomis Chafee. Regardless, he played a post-graduate year in 2021 and made the switch to the bullpen. He helped lead his team to a 10-3 record and become one of the top prep teams in New England.
