The ninth Louisville pitcher to experience a SwampBats summer since 2009, Dowler comes to Keene aiming to gain more experience after his freshman


 


season with the ACC’s Cardinals where he appeared in nine games out of the bullpen over the season’s first two months. An early enrollee who


 


skipped his senior season at Oswego East High School to join Louisville in February of 2021, he made his first collegiate appearance (after also rehabbing


 


an injury) on February 21 of this year when he struck out four in two innings against Xavier. Dowler also fired a scoreless inning with two K’s against


 


North Carolina on April 8. He was ranked the No. 6 left-handed pitcher in Illinois by Perfect Game out of high school, where he also played football.
