to the Bats after his first year at Radford University (Va.), which followed a stint at NJCAA Lincoln Trail College in Robinson, Illinois. With the Big

South Conference’s Highlanders (and fellow Bat friends David Bryant from 2021and Zack Whitacre and William Flanagan from this year), he held

the opposition to a .225 average and struck out 33 over his initial 38.1 innings (nine games/starts), including a complete-game shutout of High Point

(N.C.) on April 16. Davidson pitched a scoreless inning in the All-Star game last year and, in his only playoff start, whiffed eight in 5.1 frames (1 ER).
