Luis makes his Atlantic League debut with the Bluefish in 2011. The pitcher spent last season in the Mexican League.  The 24-year-old began his professional career in 2005 as an outfielder for the Gulf Coast Marlins (Rookie, Marlins). In 2007, Ramos played for Laredo in the independent United League. With Laredo he hit .257 in 69 games at the plate, and pitched in three games before he fully transitioned to the mound.   He last pitched in the United States in 2009, when he went 4-5 for New Hampshire of the Can-Am League.  Luis was drafted by the Florida Marlins in the 41st round of the 2005 amateur draft.
