Waldron enters his second season as head coach of the Navigators after guiding the team to the 2010 NECBL Championship last summer. He was named the 2010 NECBL Manager of the Year for his efforts. Waldron, a Lynn native and Lynn Classical graduate, had a stellar four-year baseball career at Boston College before he was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 18th round of 1999 MLB Draft. Waldron went on to spend parts of six seasons in the minor leagues with the Red Sox, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Texas Rangers organizations. In 2002, he reached the Triple-A level at Tucson (Pacific Coast League) just three years into his minor league career, and that season hit .304 with a .390 on-base percentage between the Double-A and Triple-A levels. Waldron currently serves as an assistant coach for Lynn Classical and is a school psychologist at Masconomet Regional High School. |
