Logan Nissen joins the RedHawks for his first ever stint in professional baseball after four seasons with Bethany Lutheran College (Makato, Minn.) in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) and two seasons with the Rochester Honkers (Rochester, Minn.) in the Northwoods League (NWDS).
Nissen, a 6’5” right-handed reliever originally from Olivia, Minn., was First-team UMAC All-Conference after going 1-3 with a 3.20 ERA in 25.1 innings pitched in 2021. He also had a WHIP of 1.224, two saves, and had 40 strikeouts compared to five walks in 12 appearances.
In his five years at Bethany Lutheran Nissen went 12-13 with a 5.04 ERA. In 45 appearances he has 134.0 innings pitched, 147 strikeouts, 51 walks, six saves, and a WHIP of 1.433. During his two seasons with Rochester, Nissen had 19 appearances with an 0-2 record and a 4.28 ERA. He had 33.2 innings pitched with 28 strikeouts and 17 walks and a WHIP of 1.396.
In his career, Nissen has a combined 64 appearances with a 12-15 record, 4.88 ERA, and 167.2 innings pitched. He has 175 strikeouts, 68 walks, and a WHIP of 1.425.
