Martin comes to the DeLand Suns from Embry-Riddle, a program that has a long tradition of sending quality players to the FCSL. Before his time at ERAU, Martin played one season at Monmouth and one season at Brookdale Community College. At Monmouth, the righthander made nine appearances, and started four games. In his junior college season, Martin went 4-2 with a 2.53 earned run average over 42.2 innings with 52 strikeouts.
