Garrett Boeckle is a hard throwing, right-handed pitcher playing his first season with the Leesburg Lightning. Boeckle features a fastball that can top out in the low-90s but his best pitch is his biting curveball. Those two pitches and more led to a ton of success at Berkeley Prep High School. With the Bucs, he played four years of varsity ball, and pitched in three seasons. In that times, he tossed 48 innings over 20 appearances, putting together a 2-1 record with a pair of saves, 68 strikeouts and a fantastic .174 opponent batting average. After this summer in Leesburg, Garrett will head over to Northwestern University where he has committed to playing his college baseball
