A 48th round pick by the Cleveland Indians out of Pace High School in Florida, Bradford made the decision to continue his career at Mississippi State and the SEC rather than in the minor leagues.

            The Bulldogs have enjoyed his decision, as he began his freshman spring this year hitting .308 in his opening 40 games, totaling six doubles, one triple and 21 RBI.

            While at Pace High School, Bradford was outstanding, earning First Team All-American accolades from both Louisville Slugger and Max Preps High School. His senior season, he led Pace to a state championship and the top spot in ESPN’s National Rankings. At the plate, he batted .474 with 46 hits. On the mound, he struck out 90 in 84 innings and posted a 13-0 record and 1.12 ERA. He put up similar numbers as a junior and received similar honors.

Off the field, he proved his worth, being bestowed the Pace High School Citizenship Award.

His father, Mike, started at third base for Mississippi State in 1982 and 1983.

Bradford plans to major in kinesiology.
