Austen joins the River Bats for the second consecutive season. Last year, Wisroth made 12 starts for St. Cloud. He ended the summer with a 4-3 record and 3.26 ERA. in 2011, Wisroth led the Wildcats with 12 starts. He struck out 58 batters in 67.2 innings. He finished the year with a 6-4 record and a 4.39 ERA. Austen's 2010 numbers with the Wildcats mirrored his stats with the River Bats. Wisroth made 12 appearances and started 11 of them.. He won five games, and lost four. He compiled a 3.69 ERA. Wisroth led the Wildcats with 76 strikeouts in 2010. He finished three of his starts and had a shut out. Austen received First Team All Northern Sun Conference Honore for these numbers. Wisroth impressed the Wayne State coaches with a solid freshman campaign. He was the team's #2 starter. Wisroth went 8-1 and compiled a 5.50 ERA in 10 starts. He played four sports in high school (baseball, football, basketball, and soccer).Wisroth earned All-State honors in football and baseball in 2007. He was named to the Triple Crown All-American Team that year.
