Espitia coached the outfielders at Cal State Monterey Bay this past spring completing his first season with the team. Before that he worked as San Jose City College, helping players like River Bats speedster, Andrew Castaneda. Espitia taught players clutch hitting and led the Jaguars to two years of success. During his tenure in San Jose the team gathered a reputation for strong defense and patient hitting. Widely respected throughout the baseball community, as an evaluator of talent, Espitia scouts players for the Arizona Diamondbacks, under the title of Associate Scout. In his playing days, Anthony showcased his talents as an infielder for San Jose City College. He transferred for his last two years to Concordia University. Concordia contended for the district title in both of Anthony's years at the school. Espitia completed his masters in Kinesiology at San Jose State University. |
