Gedman joins the Muskrats after five years coaching at Framingham State. As head coach his teams led the MASCAC in home runs and stolen bases. In 2017 the Rams advanced to the MASCAC Tournament Championship. Gedman played collegiate ball at Le Moyne College before transferring to the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where he earned a degree in history. He is an alumni of the Sanford Mainers, another NECBL affiliate, as well as the Worcester Tornadoes and the Rockland Boulders of the the CanAm League, and has worked at the Rich Gedman Baseball Camp as well as serving as an instructor with New England Ruffnecks Baseball. Gedman comes from a line of successful athletes including his father, Rich, who was a two time all-star for the Red Sox and is now the hitting coach for the Triple-A Pawtucket Red Sox. “I am very grateful for this opportunity to manage the Muskrats. Ten years ago I experienced the NECBL as a player and I have always wanted to come back. I am a New Englander, born and raised. I look forward to providing a winning atmosphere with the Muskrats. But more importantly, making a positive impact in the community.”
