Born in the Dominican Republic... Fuentes Jr. has been emursed in basebal for his entire life.. His father Tito Fuentes Sr. spent 14 seasons in the Major Leagues many of which were with the San Fransisco Giants... Fuentes spent much of his early years traveling from the US, to the Dominican Republic... Worked with baseball legand Juan Marichal.

After high school Fuentes was invited to the Dominican Minor League Camp in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic... Was in camp with both the Los Angeles Dodgers, and the Oakland Athletics.. While there, Tito experienced playing ball with Roberto Duran, Jose Mesa, Felix Rodrigues, Apolinar Garcia, Rene Suarez, Moises Alou and many more future Big Leaguers...

After his playing career was cut short due to injury, Fuentes Jr. shifted his focus to coaching... He currently opparates the Tito Fuentes Baseball Academy a non-profit baseball instruction organization... He spent his first season on the coaching staff at Sonoma State University as an infielding coach in 2018... He also was a manager of the Vallejo Admirals in 2013-2014...
