A former member of the Trinity Prep High School baseball team and current University of Miami commit, Slade Cecconi comes to the Florida League straight after high school. Just a few weeks after walking the stage with his classmates, Cecconi will play in front of the fans at Sanford Memorial Stadium. He can deliver a 97 MPH fastball and has a solid offspeed delivery for his secondary pitch. MLB prospects have had their eye on him for a while, and is projected to be taken in the draft at some point. But, as of now, Cecconi will be on the Scorpions squad in the foreseeable future.
