Sems was a solid option at shortstop for the Jayhawks. Over 52 starts, he hit .240, with 29 RBIs and has four home runs, nine doubles and two triples. Against Nebraska Omaha, Sems went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and scored two runs. Kansas finished the regular season at 26-28 earning the No. 8 seed in the Big 12 Tournament. Sems attended Westminster Christian where he won a state title in 2014. He is joining the Honkers as a temporary player.
