Tyler Carpenter is a native of Boulder, Colorado where he attended Fairview High School prior to enrolling at Illinois State University. In high school, Tyler was a three-year starter on the baseball team where he hit .429 and added 22 RBI’s his senior season. In addition, to his production at the plate, Tyler posted a 3-1 record with a 3.43 ERA and 39 strikeouts over 32.2 innings on the mound. These efforts led him to be named the team’s Most Valuable Player and a Colorado High School Athletic Association Second-Team All-State Selection.

Tyler was born on January 20, 1999 and is the son of Bob and Michelle Carpenter. He has one younger brother, Cole. Tyler’s uncle played football at Michigan State University and his grandfather played both basketball and football at Western Michigan University. Tyler is in his freshman year at Illinois State and is a Finance major. Welcome to Muskegon Tyler!
