Andrew Lambo comes to Bridgeport during his 11th season of professional baseball and first in the Atlantic League. He began the 2017 season with Triple-A Nashville (Oakland Athletics) of the Pacific Coast League, appearing in 12 games. Last season, he made a brief appearance at the Major League level, and spent the rest of the season with Nashville. In 56 games, he recorded a .255 batting average with four home runs, 30 RBI, and 29 runs scored.
Lambo began his professional career in 2007 after being selected in the fourth round of the MLB draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers. He spent four seasons within the Dodgers organization, followed by six with the Pittsburgh Pirates and then three with Oakland. He made his Major League debut with the Pirates in 2013, where he spent parts of the next three campaigns. In 60 career Major League games across four seasons, the outfielder recorded one home run, three RBI, and eight runs scored.
In 797 career minor league games, Andrew has posted a .278 batting average with 104 home runs, 472 RBI, 433 runs, and 28 stolen bases.
