2017: Announced as Southern Maryland Pitching Coach on January 13. Frisbie was named Interim Manager for the team on August 4th, leading the team to the First Half Freedom Division Championship title on August 14th. The Blue Crabs announced on November 16th that they would remove the Interim tag from Frisbie, and he would return as the Manager for the 2018 season.

Previous Career: Has managed four different teams in his coaching career. Began in 2003 with Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings of the Central League and was named manager of the Bradenton Juice of the South Coast League in 2007. Spent 2014 and 2015 with the Rockford Aviators, being named as a Frontier League All-Star Game Manager in 2015. Managed the Texas Airhogs of the American Association in 2016.

Personal: James Frisbie. Born July 23, 1972 in Roseburg, Oregon. Pitched collegiately at Abilene Christian University before pitching four seasons professionally in the Texas-Louisiana League for the Alexandria Aces, Bayou Bullfrogs, and the Greenville Bluesmen.
