In 2017, Mikell was NAC Rookie of the Year... NAC Second Team All-Conference at first base... NAC All-Tournament Team... ECAC New England Rookie of the Year ... ABCA/NEIBA/D3Baseball.com Second Team All-Region... Five-time NAC Rookie of the Week... Two-time NAC Pitcher of the Week... He played in 44 games, batted .313 (45-for-144) with 10 doubles, two triples, nine home runs, 34 runs scored, 32 RBI, 26 walks, and eight stolen bases. He had 14 multiple-hit games, and went 3-for-5 with a double, a triple, two runs scored, and two RBI at Coast Guard (3/24). 


Mikell made nine appearances on the pitching mound, including eight starts, going 6-2 with one save, three complete games, a 1.64 ERA, and 73 strikeouts in 55 innings pitched. He pitched a complete-game victory over Cortland State (3/18) with nine strikeouts. He earned save over Husson (5/7) to help Castleton advance to NAC championship round, followed by 10-strikeout performance over seven innings against New England College (5/8) to force "if-necessary" game.
