Cabbiness comes to the Gulls after a strong freshman season with Oklahoma State. Cade hit .270 and ranked second on the team in walks, drawing 27 free passes in his 163 at bats, third on the team. Blake Battenfield, a 2016 Gull and Cowboys teammate, described Cade as “a great athlete with a lot of upside and fun outfielder to watch.”

While at Bixby High school, Cade hit .472 with 6 home runs, 36 RBI and a slugging percent of .821 his senior year. Cade was named the 2016 Jim Thorpe High School Baseball Player of the Year while also starring as a wide receiver on his football team that won back-to-back state championships.
