An exceptional effort by Ole Sheldon spurred the St Paul Saints (19-21) to an 8-4 win over the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks (21-21) on Sunday at Newman Outdoor Field.
Sheldon rocked the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks with two home runs. Sheldon went 2-5 in the game with four RBIs and two runs scored. Sheldon homered in the second and third innings.
The St Paul Saints relied on Robert Coe to eat up innings en route to the win. Coe allowed three earned runs, seven hits and no walks while striking out four over 7 2/3 innings of work.
Todd Jennings racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the ninth innings.
Jake Laber (1-4) took the loss for the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks. He allowed seven runs in three innings, walked two and struck out one.
