The Winnipeg Goldeyes defeat the Sioux City Explorers after late game single, 8-7

The Winnipeg Goldeyes (23-15) and the Sioux City Explorers (18-22) passed the lead back and forth eight times on Tuesday at Shaw Park, but in the end the Winnipeg Goldeyes pulled out an 8-7 win over the Sioux City Explorers.

Gabriel Martinez racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Winnipeg Goldeyes. He singled in the third inning and homered in the fourth inning.

Brian Beuning looked sharp on the mound. Beuning gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his four innings of work.

Peter Barrows racked up five RBIs on two hits for the Sioux City Explorers. He singled in the first inning and homered in the third inning.

Aaron Correa ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
