The Skagit Valley take out the Clark with help from Moore, 6-4

The Skagit Valley (10-9) beat the Clark (9-12) 6-4 on Saturday at Tigard, OR behind Andrew Moore, who knocked in three runs.

He singled in the first inning and tripled in the ninth inning.

Jacob Howard brought the heat against the Clark during his outing. Howard gave up just two hits, allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out five during his four innings of work.

Brandon Zimmerman got on base three times in the game for the Clark. He scored one run and had one RBI. He tripled in the first inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Colton Krueger put together a nice outing. The Skagit Valley managed just one hit off of the the Clark's pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked four and struck out three during his six innings of work.

Trey Smith got the win, running his season record to 3-1. He allowed three runs over five innings. Smith struck out eight, walked seven and gave up three hits.

Jordan Atkinson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
