Brattain leads the Centralia to 15-1 win over the South Puget Sound

Story by Narrative Science.

Friday was a great day for Emma Brattain, as he hit two home runs to carry the Centralia (26-13) to a 15-1 victory over the South Puget Sound (0-32) at Lacey in five innings.

Nine runs in the opening three innings allowed the Centralia to easily put away the South Puget Sound. A solo home run by Brattain, a sacrifice fly by Caitlyn Paul, a solo home run by Janice-Lee Knutz, and in the first inning and an RBI single by Brattain during the second inning helped the Centralia put some runs on the board early.

Jamie Bingham went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for the South Puget Sound. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Brooke Williams recorded his thirteenth win of the year for the Centralia. He struck out three, walked two and surrendered one hit.

The Centralia easily handled the South Puget Sound pitching as six hitters combined for 12 hits, 12 RBIs and 14 runs scored.

Amanda Rupright ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed 15 runs in five innings, walked one and struck out one.
