Ken Gregory knocked in four runs, sparking the Southern Illinois Miners (4-4) to a 10-5 victory over the Washington Wild Things (4-4) on Saturday at CONSOL Energy Park.

Matthew Sergey looked sharp on the mound. Sergey held the Washington Wild Things hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.

Despite the loss, the Washington Wild Things' Michael Hepple dominated the Southern Illinois Miners' batters, giving up one run and striking out five.

Gus Benusa racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Washington Wild Things. He singled in the first and fourth innings and doubled in the sixth inning.

Blake Nation improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Southern Illinois Miners. He allowed four runs over five innings. Nation struck out eight, walked three and gave up six hits.

Shawn Blackwell ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked two and struck out two.
