Tyler joins the Pump Jacks after playing last summer with the Winter Park Diamond Dawgs of the Florida Collegiate League. In 12 appearances, including one start, Adams pitched 19.2 innings with 23 strikeouts and 15 walks. He recorded two strikeouts in one scoreless inning as a member of the Crimson Tide this spring.
Adams ended his prolific career at Houston Academy as the 14th-ranked right-handed pitcher in the state of Alabama by Perfect Game USA. As a senior, he kept a 1.12 ERA over 30 innings and struck out half of the 110 batters he faced while walking just nine. He ended his High School career with a 2.12 ERA and 210 strikeouts in 148 innings pitched, and helped his varsity team reach the state playoffs in all four years of attendance.
