Charlie White hit .281 last season as a Slammer in 54 games, with 40 runs scored and 12 RBI. The Naperville native White competed for the short-season Boise Hawks in the 2014 summer, batting .200 in 99 plate appearances. But with an .306 OBP, White showed off his plate discipline and proved to be an effective baserunner scoring 14 times. The Chicago Cubs selected White in the 21st round of the 2014 draft after he earned All-ACC Second Team honors his sophomore and junior years at the University of Maryland. He departed Maryland as the Terp's all-time stolen base leader with 86 steals. White earned All-State honors his senior year at Naperville North High School. He is the son of former Cub Brian White.
