West HS under Coach Tom Zuber…lettered in golf and track and field…played at Centralia Community College and posted a 0.69 earned run average with an .149 opponent batting average in 73 innings pitched…earned First-Team NWAACC West Region Pitcher and Second-Team All-NWAACC  Pitcher honors…played summer baseball for the Kitsap Bluejackets of the West Coast Collegiate League…was ranked 5th best prospect in the state of Washington and was declared Washington’s “Prospect on the Rise” in 2010 by Perfect Game, also was ranked 53rd for all junior college prospects by Perfect Game in 2010...earned baseball scholarship to University of Washington...sustained leg injury during pre-season practice which prevented him from playing / using year of eligibility.

Born July 18, 1990 in Centralia, WA…son of Lee and Brenda Schmitt and has sister Jayln…Dad played baseball and football at Linfield College…has already graduated with a Bachelor's degree of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington and will be continuing education in sustainable business practices while at Bellevue…chose Bellevue because of the world class coaching staff and baseball program’s reputation…greatest baseball moment so far was earning the victory pitching a complete game against Lower Columbia College (ranked 2nd on West Coast at the time), allowing 0 earned runs.
