Sulcoski became the regular catcher at Shippensburg University as a sophomore in 2012, batting .281 and displaying good contact hitting abilities by striking out only 10 times in 126 at bats. Appeared in 20 games as a junior for the Red Raiders, batting .364. Transferred to Misericordia in 2013, batting .377 in 23 games with one home run and striking out only six times in 77 at bats and was a teammate of Kenny Durling. At Hanover Area High School Sulcoski won four varsity letters in baseball, batting .400 as a sophomore, .545 as a junior with four home runs, and .490 with three home runs in his final season.
