Assistant Coach Jon Hansen played junior college baseball at Hutchinson Community College in 2003-2004. Coach Hansen then went on to play baseball at Augusta State University, a Division 2 school in the Peach Belt Conference in Georgia. He was a 3 year starter, and spent 1 year in relief in college. Coach Hansen began his coaching career as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Augusta State University. Coach Hansen then went on to become the head coach of the Augusta Nationals, a summer college team in the Great South league. Coach Hansen is currently in his 2nd season as an assistant coach at Hutchinson Community College working primarily with the Blue Dragon pitching staff. His responsibilities also include running the strength and conditioning program for the position players and pitchers as well as coordinating both in and out of state recruiting efforts for the Hutchinson Community College Baseball program. Coach Hansen received his bachelor's degree in Exercise Science with a focus in physical therapy from Augusta State University. Coach Hansen is a native of Denver, Colorado. Parents are Gary and Vicki Hansen. He is a High School graduate of Cherry Creek High School in Greenwood Village, Colorado. Coach Hansen currently resides in Hutchinson, KS. |
