DuBose returns to Bridgeport for his second season in the Atlantic League and 12th of professional baseball. The former Major Leaguer last pitched in 2008 as a member of the Bluefish and appeared in 17 games, recording a 3.91 ERA with six wins and 71 strikeouts over 101.1 innings of work. After an impressive campaign with the ‘Fish, he was signed by the Los Angeles Dodgers and made appearances for their minor league affiliates Jacksonville Suns (AA) and Los Vegas 51’s (AAA). In six combined games, the lefthander posted a 2.78 ERA and struck out 26 batters through 22.2 innings on the mound.

Following five successful years in the minor leagues, Eric made his Major League debut with the Baltimore Orioles in 2002. His best season in the big leagues came the following year with Baltimore, when the 34-year-old recorded a 3.89 ERA with three victories and 44 strikeouts in 73.2 innings pitched. Through five tours in the Major Leagues, he owns a 5.21 ERA with nine wins and 115 strikeouts in 52 career appearances. DuBose was originally drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the first round (21st overall) of the 1997 amateur draft.
