| Hoffmann is in his second season as a volunteer assistant coach at North Dakota. The 2008 Northern Iowa graduate has significant Northwoods League experience. An outfielder during his playing days, he was a Rochester Honker during the 2005-06 seasons. Last summer he was part of a Honkers coaching staff that guided Rochester to a fifth NWL title. On the Honkers 2006 Championship team, Hoffmann hit .246 with no home runs and 16 RBIs in 58 games. In 2008, he played independently with the Rockford RiverHawks of the Frontier League. Prior to Northern Iowa, Hoffmann attended Iowa Central Community College. The Erskine, Minn., native played four years of baseball at Win-E-Mac High School. | |||||||
